Vaiva
Lithuanian, “rainbow”
A colorful choice with a vibrant and cheerful meaning, Vaiva comes from the Lithuanian word for rainbow. Pronounced as VIVE-uh (vive to rhyme with five), it could even make an alluring alternative to Kaia, Eva, Vera, and Violet.
The name has mythological ties, with rainbows considered manifestations of the Pagan goddess Laima, while more broadly, its meaning associates it with hope, renewal, comfort, positivity, luck, and inclusiveness.
It joins a number of other “rainbow” names including Enfys, Solongo, Iridiana, Ziazan, Keshet, Ostadar, and Itzel.
