Sarai
Hebrew, "princess"
The original name of the Biblical Sarah, before it was changed to the popular form we know so well, Sarai is a bright and distinctive sounding choice, that blends a frilly, princessy meaning with a succinct, sharp sound. With sassy nickname Rai, it may feature in the US Top 500, but it has never ranked in the UK charts!
Pronounced as sehr-EYE or suh-RYE in English depending on accent and location, it may be said as sar-ah-EE by Spanish speakers. Alternative spelling, Sarahi, is popular in Mexico and may make the latter pronunciation more intuitive.
Fun name-nerd story: Sarai has been my favorite name since I was 14! I met a girl called Sarai when I was doing work experience at a local primary school, and I think it was one of the most important things I took away from those two weeks.

I've always liked this name too. I heard it first when an Israeli friend gave it to her daughter.
