Saffron
Spice name, "orange-yellow color; a type of crocus"
Saffron combines a soft sound with a hint of spice and a touch of luxury.
Saffron is a product of the crocus flower, used in cooking and to make a bold yellow-orange dye. It is so labour-intensive to harvest that at times in history it has been worth its weight (or more) in gold.
It has never been common in the States, but was popular in England in the early 2000s, after appearing on a character in the sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. It also fitted into the zeitgeist of colour names and nature names, as a successor to Amber and Jade.
