Mark
Latin, "warlike"
Mark packs a lot into a short name. From its origins in (or before) ancient Rome, through rulers, saints, and more modern public figures than we could possibly name, it feels like Mark is all around us.
And yet, it’s easy to overlook Mark among the noise of longer, more showy names. Or even its own variants, like Marcus and Marco.
Past its peak popularity in the mid-twentieth century, Mark is now settled into its era as a solid, steady classic.
