Marguerite
French variation of Margaret, Greek, "daisy, pearl"
My mother really wanted me to name my first baby after her, and now I wish I had done it. It would have made her so happy and there are so many wonderful variations of her name, Margaret. If I had to do it over again, I think I’d name my daughter Marguerite and call her Daisy, one of the great two-names-in-one combos. (Funny, because my mother was called Peggy, which fascinated me as a baby name nerd: How could a name have a nickname that sounded completely different and didn’t even start with the same letter?)
Marguerite is both a jewel name, via its ancient Greek meaning of pearl, and a flower name, as marguerite is the French word for daisy, thus the nickname. It’s one of the many forms of Margaret.

I know a few marguerites and they all end up going by daisy. I actually prefer margaret to marguerite
