I've always thought Judith is so pretty, and Jude feels very cool, but I never really thought about Judy. The more I think about it, though, the more it grows on me! I'm sure it would feel fresh and adorable on a little girl.
There are so many associations I have with the name Judy. Neither good nor bad leaning. I think of Judy Garland and Judy Blume of course as mentioned, but also the song "Judy in Disguise", and the main character rabbit in the Zootopia movies. The name Judy is also so similar to Julie that it could be an alternate to that as well. It feels bouncy to me and not old ladyish even though I also knew and older lady named Judy.
Yes Zootopia of course! I've got to admit I haven't seen them (I do have a child but he's not into movies) but I wonder if they'll have any impact on Judy...if not now, then maybe in 20 years!

It’s a family name ( two cousins actually) I really love it . I also love Judy from Zootopia! I hope more parents will use it.
