Isidor
Greek, "gift of Isis"
Isidor Isaac Rabi, born July 29, 1898, was a Nobel Prize-winning physicist who discovered nuclear magnetic resonance. Directors Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach made Isadore an unlikely celebrity baby name when they gave it to their second son. Isidore, the most popular spelling of the name, was used for only 33 baby boys in the US last year, while Isadore was given to just nine and Isidor, eight, making this a rare classic boys’ name.
