Hindi, "the good earth"

Strong and grounded — with plenty of style — Avani is a Hindi name that means “the good earth”. It currently ranks on the very edge of the US Top 1000, at Number 997, but is rapidly rising in the UK, where it ranks Number 577.

Avani is distinctly Hindi but intuitive in English, making it a perfect cross-cultural baby name (I’ve suggested it to more than one Indian-American couple).
